Big Valley Animal Hospital has been serving central Pennsylvania for over 30 years, and has become one of the most highly respected practices in our area. 2019 marked the completion of a fear free hospital addition, and complete remodeling of our existing facility, making it one the most modern in the state. We continue to expand our client base by providing outstanding veterinary care in a welcoming and caring environment. We are a family owned practice, that insists on treating everyone with respect and compassion. We are happy to mentor those with less experience, and offer a low-key, fun work environment where new ideas and open discussion are encouraged. Our new hospital is fully equipped with heated surgery tables, L.E.D. surgical and exam lights, patient monitors including CO2, Phillips ultrasound (includes Doppler), dental suite, digital dental and full body radiographs capabilities, electrocautery, ICU unit, Isolation Ward, large staff lounge, fully equipped in-house lab, and a large support staff. We have the tools and support staff to provide the practitioner the ability to perform excellent case work-ups and patient treatment. We are no ordinary practice, as we insist on consistently providing a friendly environment for our doctors, staff, patients and their parents. Our practice provides the practitioner a large and varied caseload of medical and surgical patients. We refer very few patients, and are always eager to provide new treatment options as they become available. Our last scheduled appointment is 4:30 p.m., and we hold no evening office hours, providing the entire staff plenty of family time. Emergencies are handled by an emergency hospital in the area. We are located in an area of the state that provides for plenty of outdoor recreation, concerts, amusement parks, sporting events and other forms of recreation. |
