Madison Veterinary Specialists is an accredited AAHA Referral and VECCS Level II veterinary specialty and emergency hospital in Madison, WI. We have an immediate opening for an emotionally intelligent hospital administrator that exemplifies these qualities and more. The right candidate will have strong HR skills in all matters including state, federal and local legal compliance of relevant employment law, experience working with a 90+ member team, a solid financial knowledge base to guide financial and strategic business development including budgeting experience. Equally important will be strong effective delegation and communication skills for overseeing doctor, department leads, technician, technical support and client care specialist teams. Team: Our collegial teams include internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, neurology, surgery, radiology and a exemplary team of internship trained emergency veterinarians. Our support teams include licensed veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants with years of emergency experience. Each department has a CVT team lead and at least a 3:1 support staff ratio per doctor. We have extensive training programs per department and encourage the growth of each team member through continuing education. Facility: We moved into our beautiful new 17,000+ square foot hospital in March 2019, which includes 16 exam rooms, four (4) surgery suites, oncology, HD CT and fluoroscopy, MRI, endoscopy and ultrasound units.
