Associate Veterinarian

Mancos Valley Veterinary Hospital is a small animal veterinary clinic near the Laplata Mountains in rural southwest Mancos Colorado seeking to hire an associate veterinarian.

Our clinic is staffed primarily with one veterinarian and two support staff; We have a fairly small building and do not offer boarding; Mancos is a small town we serve as well the surrounding community. Working veterinarian owner is transitioning to retirement and would like to finish out career as working primarily as practice manager; Clinic has associate who has worked at clinic for quite some time and presently works 2 days per week and will continue to work; we try to schedule so veterinarian and staff can offer quality care without being rushed (when possible).

We offer emergency after hour service which is shared with other staff; We recently started using some telemedicine, recently purchased new Mindray TE5 ultrasound, have digital x-ray, Idexx lab, new dental machine, as well as other new equipment; We practice safe covid practices and still mainly "curbside."

This position, in my opinion, could be an excellent job if candidate is okay in a small town, loves the beautiful outdoors and all the activities this area has to offer that go along with it and wants to practice quality medicine with a friendly and competent staff; and make a difference in the community we serve with some days off to enjoy the journey and the beautiful outdoors.
