Veterinary Specialty Center of Sturbridge Seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian interested in a 3 day work week! WIth the current state of Veterinary Medicine and emergency facilities and general practitioners being overwhelmed, we see a need to provide our referring veterinarians and clients an option for their patients to be seen for urgent/non-emergent matters on the weekend. The Veterinary Specialty Center of Sturbridge is a privately-owned, specialty clinic located in Central Massachusetts. The practice has grown from a surgery-only facility to a center that now offers Surgery, Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine, and Internal Medicine specialty services. We currently have 3 Boarded Surgeons, 2 Internal Medicine Specialists, and 1 Certified Rehabilitation Therapist. Our support staff is also composed of highly trained and qualified individuals; we have a combination of VTS’s and CVT’s making up the technical staff, ambitious veterinary assistants, and a very attentive client coordination crew. We are now seeking to include Weekend Urgent Care in our practice plan. We have a close relationship with out very dedicated referral veterinarians and we have realized a fundamentally solid need for an Urgent Care service for the area. After doing some research, we know we would potentially have a strong caseload in a very short time. Therefore, we are looking for an individual having experience in a high volume high quality practice to work a 3 day work week which would include Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We are located in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, a portrait of old New England charm, with grassy commons, distinctive antique shops and boutiques, country orchards and creameries, wooded trails and delightful B&B’s. The area parks boast miles of hiking and biking trails and picture-perfect lakes for boating, swimming and canoeing. The well known Brimfield Antique Flea Market is a mere 10 minutes away! Sturbridge is centrally located in New England and offers easy access to numerous recreational opportunities. It is within 2 hours of the seacoasts of Cape Cod, Long Island Sound, Boston and New Hampshire. This location also offers easy access to outdoor activities in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Green Mountains of Vermont, the great outdoors of Maine, and the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. Access to the Appalachian Mountain Range can be had from Maine to the Berkshires. We are looking for just the right person to complement the great team that we have and we hope that you may be that person. If you are interested in a 3 day full-time work week with full benefits, we encourage you to contact us if you would like to hear more!
