Associate Veterinarian – McAllen, TX
Pet Doctor 911 seeking confident and skilled Veterinarians to join our growing team. Animal Medical Center of McAllen is a full-service 24-hour veterinary hospital, staffed and equipped to offer general veterinary care and emergency critical care, for small animals. Non-emergency services provided at Animal Medical Center of McAllen include routine health exams, preventative care, reproductive services, vaccinations, and general surgery.
The hospital is an energetic, fast paced, and fun work environment with a large support staff. Our staff to veterinarian ratio is over 12:1, as well as new diagnostic equipment including digital radiology, dental radiology, 2 ultrasound machines, 2 full in-house laboratories {Idexx and Abaxis}, laser therapy, dentistry equipment, multiple oxygen kennels, multiple anesthetic monitoring units, blood gasses, coagulation analyzers, a very extensive pharmacy and more.
This is an expanding practice that serves an amazing community in the Rio Grande Valley. We currently have 6 Veterinarians on our team, and we are always interested in bringing in new associates or relief veterinarians to join our growing practice.
At Animal Medical Center of McAllen, we offer day to day mentorship for new graduates as well as offering professional support for experienced veterinarians. We recognize the need to assist our new team members with transitioning into a new job and becoming acclimated in their position as well as with the local pathologies. Guidance with technical or public relation issues is readily available and we believe that by providing this support that we increase the level of satisfaction that ultimately leads to higher quality of patient care. We have 2 full-time Client Care Specialists as well as an excellent management team to support you at all times and helping with dealing with non-medical issues so you don’t have to.

Shifts can be customized to you and your family’s needs and lifestyle with no on-call responsibilities and the option to not relocate and still get to work with us.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
- $150,000 Base Salary {Negotiable based on experience/qualifications} + Production Options Available {Average pay for full-time veterinarians is +200K)
