Associates degree in animal health technology.
1-3 years of experience
Must be currently licensed as a veterinary technician (LVT), in the state of Michigan.
Ability to work independently as needed while still working courteously and effectively with others.
Ability and willingness to work with many species including but not limited to mice, rats, rabbits, ferrets, dogs, cats, sheep, pigs, cattle, and nonhuman primates.
Significant experience related to animal handling, methods of blood collection and drug administration, and anesthesiology.
Experience conducting diagnostic tests including hematology, clinical chemistry, and endo- and ecto-parasitology exams.
Basic computer skills (word-processing, spreadsheets, and e-mails).
