The UrgentVet Area Medical Director serves as the medical leader within a group of UrgentVet practices in their region. For this position, this individual would oversee a group of three to six UrgentVet clinics in the Phoenix, Arizona market. These brand new practices are slated to open in 2023 to bring the UrgentVet model to Arizona!
The UrgentVet Area Medical Director typically works a four (4)-day schedule as the primary doctor on schedule, rotating their availability throughout the clinics in their region to ensure that the needs of the practice teams are being met. This individual is a champion for the UrgentVet model and ensures that our practice teams are practicing Fear Free medicine to provide a consistent positive experience for our patients.
This individual fosters a positive and collaborative work environment that results in an excellent treatment experience for the patients and clients we serve, as well as an excellent employment experience for the practice’s patient care team. The Area Medical Director works with the associate veterinarians in the region and the UrgentVet Regional Medical Director to help ensure that quality and appropriate veterinary medicine is performed within the practice. Additionally, they partner with the Practice Manager in matters of general management, staffing/scheduling, as well as ensuring that operational and financial goals are being met.
