Corning Animal Hospital is seeking an associate veterinarian to join our team.  We are a privately owned, small animal primary care practice that was established in 1958.  We enjoy an excellent clientele who bring their pets to us for the high quality care and friendly, personalized service that we provide.  We are a busy practice but we make time to address the details with 30 minute appointments and a team approach to caring for our patients and their families.  We are very well equipped (Cornerstone, complete in-house Idexx lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, dental radiography, radiosurgery, endoscopy, Tonopen, petMap and Doppler BP, laser therapy, and more) and our staff is trained so that our veterinarians can use their skills and knowledge to practice at a high level.  We are family oriented and promote an enjoyable workplace.  A healthy work/life balance has been an important part of our practice culture for many years.  Our veterinarians work a manageable number of hours, which allows for flexibility and ample time and energy for other pursuits.  We are located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York and are fortunate to have many nearby recreational activities and cultural amenities.  Corning is home to a Fortune 500 company and has been called one of “the most fun small towns in America”.  In recent years our area has been featured as a top destination in many travel shows and articles.  The quality of life here is high and the cost of living is reasonable.  Cornell University is 45 minutes away.   

The available position is for a 30 hour work week with no after-hours emergency duty and a 3 day weekend every other week. The position requires a positive attitude, a commitment to excellence, a collaborative work style, and a desire for continual growth.  We offer support and encouragement for development of special clinical interests.  Applications from experienced clinicians and new graduates are welcome.  Compensation is commensurate with experience.  New graduates will earn a minimum cash salary in the six figures.  In addition our generous benefit package includes health insurance (medical, vision, and dental), employee assistance program, 2 weeks of PTO, retirement plan with match, licensing fees, dues, continuing education allowance, uniform allowance, and discounted pet care.  A guaranteed base income with additional production-based pay is available for experienced clinicians.  We are offering a $10K signing bonus!  For more information or to send a resume please contact jclay@corninganimalhospital.com
