We are searching for a full time veterinarian in beautiful Dayton Nevada at our privately owned small animal hospital.  We are a general medicine practice that will see some emergencies at the discretion of the doctor being asked.  We are open Monday-Friday 7:30AM-5PM, and work in four 10 hour shifts - but we are flexible in scheduling if you have specific needs.  We are a family-friendly practice and understand having outside priorities.  We have recently updated our equipment and protocols for both medicine and surgery - we aim to be progressive and evolving with medicine and the veterinary field.  Below is a list of some of our assets to a DVM:

-A new digital x-ray suite 

-New digital dental x-rays and a full dental set up including Sanos and sealant   

-New ultrasound machine

-Laser machine (class 3) for therapeutic laser treatments

-Complete updated in-house IDEXX lab and reference lab partner with Antech

-Large surgery suite with state-of-the-art anesthesia monitoring equipment

-An amazing support staff including licensed veterinary technician(s) - our team is friendly, skilled and helpful.  

-Electronic medical records/system (paper light)

-Fixed figure salary, plus production - amount will be based on experience and work load, but a realistic range of $70,000-140,000

A little about us – we are located in a semi-rural town outside Carson City (Nevada) with 2 emergency clinics within a one-hour drive. We are open 7:30am-5PM, Monday-Friday with no on call service, and we are closed most holidays. We have four customer service representatives, five veterinary assistants (many of whom are in school to become licensed technicians), a licensed veterinary technician and an inventory manager. We have two full time doctors and room for two more. Dayton Valley Veterinary is privately owned by doctors Jennifer Danielson and Jackie Sanford – both of whom are happy to mentor in medicine and surgery as needed for a new DVM joining the team. The clinic was purchased in 2022, and we have been upgrading the equipment and standards for medicine and surgery over the last several months. We value high quality progressive medicine and are always evolving to stay current in the field of veterinary medicine.
