Care Center, located in Cincinnati, OH, is currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Hospitalist to join its successful, growing team! This person will work with the emergency team, assisting in the intake and management of hospitalized emergency patients, creating and recommending treatment plans, maintaining and updating medical records and facilitating transfers to the appropriate specialty service as needed.

The Veterinary Hospitalist will work directly with our emergency and critical care department. Their primary responsibility will be to receive transfers from the emergency veterinarians that require hospitalization. Patients may be transferred on the same day, the following day, or may be discharged by hospitalist on the following day. Secondary responsibility would include receiving minor follow up appointments that come through as “same day emergencies” as well as low acuity emergencies (i.e., urgent care).
Our multi-specialty hospitals in Cincinnati and Centerville have been an ever-present resource in the tri-state area for 20 years. We are expanding our teams in Cincinnati and Dayton during a very exciting time of growth, the Hospitalist is an integral part of our team.
Our Cincinnati location is 21,000 SF with state-of-the-art equipment including Varian Trilogy CFRT and SRS radiation, in-house CT, radioactive iodine therapy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, echocardiography, minimally invasive surgery and interventional radiology. Our Centerville (Dayton) location recently tripled in size in our brand new, 15,000 SF hospital with all the latest equipment including CT and MRI as well as Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesia, Medical Oncology, and Radiology, with Neurology and Cardiology coming soon!

DVM or equivalent.
ER, internship-trained, or General Practice experience.
Licensed or eligible for license for the State of Ohio.
