Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking Emergency Veterinarians to join our team as Traveling Emergency Veterinarians.
The Travel ER veterinarian role provides the best of both worlds, combining the flexibility and great travel options of an independent relief veterinarian with the stability and safety of a full-time position with outstanding, industry-leading benefits! Our Travel Veterinarians are awarded all the benefits of full-time staff members!
Hours of work:
Full-time position: To meet the minimum requirements to qualify for full-time benefits, our travel veterinarians are obligated to an average of 9 shifts/4week block.
Part-time position: no minimum shift requirements. No additional benefits other than compensation as listed below, as well as coverage for travel. For those with agreed-upon shift requirements that are less than what qualifies for full-time benefits, limited benefits options are available. They are defined on a case-by-case basis depending upon the number of shifts committed.
Scheduling of shifts shall be managed by the National Director of Emergency Services (or other authorized agent) and will occur a minimum of one month prior to the time of shift. The shift schedule will be discussed with each Travel Veterinarian prior to finalizing. Any shifts worked more than the agreed-upon minimum are optional and will be paid at the same per-shift rate.
12hr shift @ $1000/shift + earned quarterly production payment.
14hr shift @ $1100/shift + earned quarterly production payment.
15hr shift @ $1200/shift + earned quarterly production payment.
Quarterly Production Payments:
Quarterly production payments shall be calculated by each hospital each quarter. This is to prevent any bonus earned from a busy location/shift being offset (decreased) by shifts performed at a less busy location.
Production payments are calculated by 25% of the revenue of qualifying services/diagnostics, 15% of products, and 5% of OTC generated by the associate against shift pay already paid out. The difference (if greater) is paid out to the associate as lump sum bonuses from each hospital where a bonus is earned.
