Who we are:
Humane Indiana’s Estelle Marcus Clinic was established in 2011 and made possible through the generous support of Ms. Estelle Marcus, who believed in promoting the human-animal bond for underserved populations to keep pets happy, healthy, and in their own homes. Humane Indiana provides health and wellness services in a Fear-Free environment to underserved communities, including owners of Pitbulls and Pitbull Mixes. Since opening in 2011, we have provided more than 10,000 low-cost surgeries to animals within our community. Our team flourishes on making a positive impact on our community and the lives of animals and pet owners by finding animals their forever homes, focusing on pet retention, building the human-animal bond, and providing community awareness on important topics such as spaying/neutering their pets. We are proud to have an amazing support staff to ensure you have the support you need to provide an invaluable service to the pets and their owners in our community! In addition to the companion animal needs at the shelter, our shelter DVM's have the opportunity to tend to some wildlife through our Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Every year more than 2,000 native wild animals find their way to Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. These animals have ended up with us because they, unfortunately, have been injured, orphaned, or have fallen ill. Our goal is always to rehabilitate and release wildlife.
