We’re seeking a GP-lite veterinarian with no surgical duties, and we welcome candidates with 2+ years of experience.
This small feeder office refers needed cases to our other facility, located in Hopewell Junction.
What to Expect
Salary: $100,000-$120,000 per year + production
Location: 461 Fishkill Avenue, Beacon, NY 12508
Schedule: Open to full-time or part-time, flexible options available

Monday: 9am-5pm
Tuesday: 9am-2pm
Wednesday: closed
Thursday: 9am-2pm
Friday: 9am-2pm
Saturday: 9am-12pm
Sunday: closed

Who are we looking for?
A “GP-lite” veterinarian who doesn’t perform surgeries and only sees appointments, focusing solely on clinical consultations, such as:
Routine check-ups and wellness exams
Diagnosing and treating illnesses
Vaccinations
Preventive care and health advice
Managing chronic conditions
Our ideal candidate would be able to see a high volume of appointments and handle non-surgical cases efficiently.
Schedule to be determined based on needs of individual candidates to maintain a healthy work-life balance, but some weekend work is required.

Requirements:
New York State Veterinary Board License - must be in good standing, prior to start date
Flexible work schedule, with availability to work some weekends and holidays (as necessary, per hospital)
DVM or VMD level degree required

Hudson Highlands Veterinary Medical Group consists of two practices, one located in Beacon, NY and the other in Hopewell Junction, NY.
Veterinary services at Hudson Highlands Veterinary Medical Group include regular or “General Practice” services as well as advanced medical and surgical care with our “Specialty Practice” or “Referral services”. Our veterinarians have extensive knowledge in primary and advanced medical care, routine and advanced surgical procedures, and access to cutting edge diagnostic tools.
General Practice services are available at both our Beacon and Hopewell Junction locations, our Specialty Practice sees patients at the Hopewell Junction site only.

Our modern, 11,000 square foot main facility houses an onsite CT scan, ultrasound suite, dental suite, endoscopy, underwater treadmill, separate specialty and general practice surgery suites, multiple patient wards including separate cat ward, ICU, doctor offices, radiology suite, spacious treatment room and a large, welcoming reception area. We have a class IV laser unit and a digital thermal imaging unit.
Our second facility in Beacon is utilized for outpatient care and boarding.
In addition to our team of 7 general practitioners...and skilled support staff, we offer Specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Cardiology and Exotics. The area also boasts access to Oncology, Neurology, Behavioral and Ophthalmology services for your patients.

We utilize electronic patient records and have ample skilled support staff to allow doctors time to practice great medicine.
