Southern Equine Service is located in Aiken, SC- the heart of SC horse country.  We are a 12 doctor practice.  Our facilities include a 2 covered lameness arena, 50 stalls, nuclear scintigraphy suite, 2 surgery suites with induction/recovery stall, MRI, four treatment rooms with stocks, and 3 radiology suites.  We are also equipped with a breeding shed and a phantom for stallion collection and processing of frozen and cooled semen. Elective surgeries are performed (arthroscopies, castrations, enucleations, airway surgeries, splint bone removals, neurectomies, etc.) Our caseload covers a variety of disciplines including eventing, show jumping, dressage, cutting, rodeo, polo, thoroughbred race horses, ect.  Goal of the Externship: To get hands-on experience with
